New Dawn Kenya

New Dawn Community USA Board of Directors member, Mark Luce reports that New Dawn Communities (NDC) Kenya has new leadership. The new Kenya Board Of Directors includes School Alumni that have returned to “Give Back” to the new generation of students.

In March NDC Kenya was invited, along with 10 other schools, to the “Weekend Challenge” by the host school Kenya Students Christian Fellowship.

The weekend challenge was designed around the theme “Walking in Obedience

Be doers of the word and not hearers only . . .

James 1:22

Under this theme the following topics were discussed:

    1. Transformative Leadership
    2. Sexual Purity
    3. Salvation
    4. Drugs and substance Abuse
    5. Academic Excellence and Career Development
    6. Youth and Social Media
    7. Discipline and Evangelism

The presence of the Holy Spirt was experienced during the entire weekend with several achievements and miracles being witnessed by the attendees.

    1. Rededication of the Host Schools Prayer Garden to GOD
    2. Salvation for over 100 attendees – 60 from the host school and 40 other attendees dedicated their lives to God, accepted Jesus as their savior, and were “Born Again”.
    3. Deliverance! 50 New Dawn Kenya students were delivered from bondage. 100 students from the other 10 schools joined the NDC students during the Sunday Rally.
    4. Discipleship – A new class was started by the new converts that received the Lord during the weekend to help them grow spiritually.
    5. Boosting the morale of the students during the weekend with one-on- one counseling for students who have lost hope. They had low esteem and were performing poorly at their schools. The students left motivated and refocused on achieving their dreams.

Challenges were met and discussed. The Local School Administration Team focused on calling every student to Jesus Christ.

The Weekend Challenge ended very powerfully with the presence of God so real. Both the missionaries and students lives were transformed. Glory to God!
