A message from Anthony Kamano Mackoma . . .
A 2010 New Dawn Graduate:
On this specific day ”9th July 1995”, we lost our parents through a grisly road accident on Kiminini/Kitale road. They all passed on the spot. The journey was never easy until we got good parents Mum Alice Wakhungu and dad Dad Moses Wachilonga. We grew up under their roof and their parenting which was very good, i really thank God for them. Later in my high school I got a sponsorship at New Dawn Orphans Secondary school in Laikipia where I was fully sponsored courtesy of my great Uncle Mbatia from Nyahururu. He linked me up with his friend Pastor James Kariuki the Director of New Dawn Secondary school. After a very tough Interview, the director took me to be part of other students at New Dawn School, May the almighty God bless you pastor James for seeing that I had a great future. In the school I got sponsorship from a good mother called Mary Ellen Zelay from Califonia, thank you mum, may the almighty God bless you. I would also want to thank Pastor Ron Sukut from Carlifonia, the overseer of New Dawn Communities.
In my KCSE in 2010 at New Dawn Secondary School I scored a B Plain of 62 points, I only missed one point to go to University. When i was almost loosing hope, my good friend George Kariuki, a former classmate at New Dawn Secondary school told me that there was a mother in Nakuru-Lanet by the name Mrs Gatimu, the director of Anester Group of school. I arranged and went and met her. I explained to her my story and the hopes I had in life. I told her am ready to go back to class because I had missed points to go to the university. After a long chart with the director Mrs Gatimu, she finally accepted to give me full sponsorship and I did my KCSE at Anester Boys. I scored a strong B+. I want to thank God for allowing me to meet great mum Madam Gatimu. May the Almighty God bless you.
I later joined Maseno University and did a degree in Business administration accounting option with IT. I also met a good man by the name Eric Munene from Japan. I was linked to him by Pastor Ngure Murigi my former pastor at PCEA Kahawa Farmers. Eric played a big roll in my campus finance life. May the Almighty God bless you . I want also to thank dad and mum Moses Wakhungu for always being there for me in my campus life, My brothers and sisters Caro and Ken along with all my uncles and all my cousins. I later graduated in 2016.
I would like to appreciate everyone who has participated in my growing up; all my uncles and aunts, friends. May the Almighty God bless.
Finally i want to thank my wife Lydia Kamano for always being there for me. She is behind the idea of the video and also my daughter Anly Wanjiku Kamano. She makes my days brighter and reminds me of how my mum was a happy person.
This tribute song is all about thanking God for how far he has brought me and my siblings. Its a testimony that God is faithful. Its also an encouragement to all those who have lost their parents or close relatives, that there is hope.
